Monday Mantra #9: If you want something you’ve never had, You have to do things you’ve n
As a blog writer, I write from experience. No embellishments, just raw and real.
I have lived this.
I wanted something I never had, so this past year, I had done things I have never done.
I packed up my life into storage, left a job, and hopped on an airplane with my husband for a three-month one-way ticket adventure in Europe. We had a goal in mind (our film Low White Sky, to name one) but no expectations of the end or result of our choices.
That comes later. The “what’s next?” mindset.
The first big step is to just ACT. Make the ACTion. That’s what changes the boring, same old now into the new and exciting tomorrow.
If you want something you’ve never had, you have to do things you’ve never done.*
I will never regret this choice and now today, my life is in progress, a sailing adventure where tomorrow is one day closer to my dreams, my wants, my needs.
Live the life you dream, want and need.
* About the quote: I was perusing the life of the web, basically Facebook the other day. I saw this quote and it stuck with me. For a week or two, I kept thinking about it. I just fell in love with it. I don’t know who to credit it to. Thus I just “stole” it and now using it for the theme of my post. You’re welcome!
